Back-to-School Splash Bash

Mt. Zion Kids and Sonshine Preschool invite children and families to join us for a fun-filled afternoon at our Back-to-School Splash Bash!

Location: Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 19600 Zion Avenue, Cornelius, NC
Date & Time: Sunday, August 24 , 2:00–4:00 PM


This free, family-friendly event will include:

Water slides and a splash pad, Temporary tattoo artist, Photo booth for fun memories,

Refreshments and Icees, Music, games, giveaways, and more

No RSVP is required—just bring a towel, wear your swimsuit, and come ready to enjoy

an afternoon of joy, connection, and celebration as we prepare for a new school year.

Fall Bible Studies at Mt. Zion UMC

This fall, we invite you to grow in your faith, dive deeper into Scripture, and experience the gift of fellowship through our upcoming Bible studies. Whether you are looking for a short-term study or a longer commitment, there’s a place for you.

Women’s Bible Study

September 9 – October 28
 Tuesdays, 10:00–11:30 AM, Room 210

This eight-week study will include discussion, prayer, and at-home study using a workbook and your Bible. Books will be available in the church office by the end of August.

Jesus in the Gospels

Begins September 11
Thursdays, 6:30 PM

This 30-week study, similar in structure to the Disciple Bible Studies, focuses on the portraits of Jesus found in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Disciple: Into the Word, Into the World

Begins September 11
Thursdays, 10:00 AM

This 24-week “Fast Track” study begins with Genesis and Exodus before transitioning to the New Testament books of Luke and Acts. It offers a rich overview of God’s Word, connecting Old and New Testament themes.

The Acts of the Apostles

Led by Pastor Jonathan, this study explores the Book of Acts and the story of the early church—how the apostles carried the message of Jesus into the world.
