SUNDAY SCHOOL and Special events
Mt. Zion United Methodist Church is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for all children, youth and families. We practice inclusion during Sunday School and special programming (check out the Children's and Youth Ministry pages) for most students, but also provide a Middle and High School combined Special Needs Sunday School class. All classes for young children are located in Education building, behind the sanctuary.
We also provide Special Needs Childcare in the nursery during all Sunday morning activities. Because of our desire to minister to every family, we ask that you contact the Children’s Ministry team at 704-892-8566 to discuss your child’s specific needs.
The Middle/High School class has well trained teachers who adapt the lessons to fit each student's unique learning style. In creative ways, they learn about the Bible, faith, and being a disciple for Christ!
The class meets weekly at 9:45 in Classroom 2 of the Family Life Center (the building to the left of the sanctuary). Just go through the double doors of the FLC and head down the hallway on the right. It will be the second room on the right.
JEDI Night stands for Joy for Exceptionally Developing Individuals. This is a monthly opportunity for people with special needs to come together for a fun night with food, activities, games, worship, and building friendships with our FUEL Youth Ministry. JEDI Nights meet every 4th Sunday of the month during the school year in the Family Life Center Gym. For more information on FUEL you can visit our website:
