You can help with this effort by donating funds and by working at the packaging event. Rice, dehydrated vegetables, vitamin powder and dehydrated soy product will be sealed into plastic bags and sent to schools, orphanages and disaster sites in 79 countries. Ages 7 – 100 can help. A 25 cent donation provides one meal. In the past two years the people of Mt. Zion donated over $13,000 to provide over 52,000 meals for hungry people in Central America and Sierra Leone.

Mike Bailey has been appointed as Senior Pastor at Christ UMC in Greensboro. Dr. Mary John Dye has been appointed the new Senior Pastor at Mt. Zion UMC. Rev. Bailey's last Sunday at Mt. Zion will be July 1 and Dr. Dye's first Sunday will be July 15.
